Tony Doherty is a driving force behind many aspects of Australian bodybuilding. In addition to promoting many amateur level contests, he is the official promoter of the Australian Grand Prix.

Tony has also been responsible for bringing some of the best names in bodybuilding to Australia for guest posing appearances. Also serving as a MC for many events, Tony has emceed many events including NPFC/IFBB amateur events, Country Classic Invitational, IFBB Australian Grand Prixs and the 2008 IFBB New Zealand Pro Show. Married to former IFBB fitness pro Amanda Doherty, Tony is a father of three and lives in Melbourne where he owns and operates the very successful Doherty's Gym.
