The 2008 NABBA Universe was held on Saturday October 4, 2008 at The Southport Theatre in the UK. Lionel Beyeke of France won the mens overall.
2008 NABBA Australian Champion Justin Wessells made a very impressive showing placing 6th in a field of 19 competitors.
Three time National Champion Irene Nickole who made a return to the stage in 2008 after a 20 year hiatus, completed a comeback for the ages with an impressive 7th place finish in a strong lineup.
Not in the top placings of a deep lineup, 2008 NABBA Australia Figure Champion Coral Moody, presented an excellent physique in her second international showing of the year, and finished off a banner year which saw her win the QLD title, Australia overall and place 3rd in her first international figure showing in Greece earlier this year.
Also not in the top placings, Sammy Ioannidis had not competed since the early 1990’s and made a return to the stage at the 2008 NABBA.
Australian Lisa Carrodos was the highest placing Aussie, finishing in 3rd place in Figure Class 1.
