One of Australia’s top natural bodybuilders, Martin Sifredi is a two time ANB Victoria State Champion and the 2008 U/80kg ANB Australia Champion.. He says he is a dedicated and self motivated natural bodybuilder, committed to my training for the past 10 years. He has competed in the IFBB [International Federation of Bodybuilding] and ANB [Australasian Natural Bodybuilding].

We spoke with Martin, and he says that in the last 2 years he says he have chosen to be a part of the ANB federation [www.anb.com.au], to support and compete a drug free federation, as he has always been a drug free bodybuilder. He says he hopes to inspire many new up and coming bodybuilders and fitness competitors in the art of natural bodybuilding and he also hopes that the younger generation will see that an individual is still able to develop their physiques without the use of drugs. “Bodybuilding not only builds muscle, it also builds respect, discipline and motivation to achieve other goals in life “

MARTIN Sifredi’s moral fight against performance-enhancing drugs is building strength.  On Sunday, the 34-year-old will aim to retain his title as the Australasian Natural Bodybuilding Overall Victorian Champion for the second time, after taking up the sport 10 years ago.

“I was looking pretty skinny and run-down back then, and I’d always had a passion and interest in bodybuilding, so I thought I’d give it a go,” Sifredi said. “I started training with Paul Klisaris, who is now the Monash mayor, and after about four years he suggested I enter an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness competition.” But the use of performance- enhancing drugs by some competitors drove Sifredi to focus on a more natural routine with hard training, good diet and a 100 per cent focus on his dream with the help of his wife, Vicki....
