Olympic Weightlifter Damon Kelly

Damon Kelly, will be the lone male weightlifter at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He competes in the super heavyweight division which is for 231lbs [105kg] and over.

 

The Queenslander, was born 1 December 1983 and weighs 332lbs [151kg] and is a member of Cougars weightlifting club at Brisbane's Chandler.

 

 

Kelly heaved personal bests of 385lbs[175kg] in the snatch and 488lbs [222kg] in the clean and jerk at the Olympic trials in Melbourne
