Australian Appearances in the Olympia

The all time record for Olympia appearances by an Australian is six held by three bodybuilders; Roger Walker, Lee Priest and Bev Francis, with a realistic expectation that Lee Priest will eventually surpass that.

Compiling the average scores, Bev Francis has highest average placing [3.83] amongst all Australian pros over her six Olympia appearances.

Female Bodybuilding

Bev Francis competed in 1986 - 1991. In 1986 she placed 10^th, all the remaining years she places either 2^nd or 3^rd.
Erika Geisen placed 11th in 1986.

Fitness

Debbie Czempinski is the only Australian to have competed in the Fitness Olympia, where she placed 6^th in 2005.

Sonny Schmidt and Lee Priest have made numerous Arnold appearances.

Female Bodybuilding

Erika Geisen won the first ever Ms. International in 1986, and also competed in 1988 where she placed 6th.
In 1986 Bev Francis competed and placed 3rd

Fitness

Australia has been represented by two athletes in this category: Debbie Czempinski [2005 & 2007 – 8^th place both years] and Amanda Doherty [2003 – 14th]. Debbie Czempinski also received an invitation in 2006, however did not compete due to injury.
