With a waist size of only 38.1 cm (15 in) Cathie’s waist is literally the diameter of a CD.

Cathie currently holds the world record for the smallest waist on a living person, but the record for the smallest waist ever goes to Ethel Granger who had a waist of just 13".

A mother of three children, was born in 1937 who lives in Old Mystic, Connecticut, U.S.A. “A lot of people think it’s wonderful,” she says. “But some people think it’s ridiculous, perhaps they’re jealous because they’re overweight”.

Cathie is devoted to corset training, or what she also calls waist training. Tightlacing (also called corset training and waist training) is the practice of wearing a tightly-laced corset to achieve extreme modifications to the figure and posture and experience the sensations of a very tight corset. Those who practice tightlacing are called tightlacers. Some tightlacers call the corsets they wear training corsets. Cathie only removes her corset to bathe, and wears it all other times.
